Getting started
Open camgochat.live in any modern browser, on a phone or a computer — nothing to download, no app store in the way. Press Start Matching, grant camera and microphone access when the browser requests it, and the matchmaker seats you with a real person who happens to be online right then. The opening matches cost nothing, and no registration wall blocks a first look around. The full walkthrough lives on How CamgoChat Works.
Camera and microphone permission
Your browser owns the camera and microphone, and it asks before anything switches on. If you hit Block by accident, click the lock or camera icon in the address bar, set both to Allow, and reload — that resolves nearly every black screen. Refusing on purpose is fine too: you will not appear on video, but text chat keeps working. On phones, also confirm the browser itself has camera access in the device settings.
Matching and skipping
The matchmaker seats you with one person at a time, drawn from whoever is online right now. There is no compatibility quiz and no gender filter — the point of random video chat is meeting someone you would never have picked from a list. Not feeling it? Tap skip and someone new appears in seconds. Skipping is free, unlimited, and penalizes nobody; the other person simply moves on as well. Prefer choosing a face first? Browse who is online from the home page and open the conversation from there.
Text and voice alongside video
Every match includes text chat next to the video — useful for noisy rooms, shy first minutes, or a language you write more comfortably than you speak. Voice rides with the video once the microphone is allowed. A conversation that opens in text and warms into voice is completely normal here; nobody expects an opening monologue.
Coins and charges
CamgoChat is free to start: opening matches come free for every new guest, and nobody asks for card details. Extended sessions can draw on coins, the balance kept inside the product. Every price is displayed before anything is charged, and there is no silent billing anywhere — if a screen never showed you a cost, it cost you nothing. What is left in your balance is always visible from within your account. If a charge looks wrong, email [email protected] with the approximate time and amount and we will trace it.
Reporting and blocking
If someone breaks the rules on a call — explicit content, asking for money, anything that feels wrong — tap report on the call screen. That report lands with human reviewers, carrying the context their investigation needs. Blocking sits beside it: one tap and that person can never be matched with you again. Both are free, instant, and invisible to the other user. The rulebook in full lives in the Community Guidelines.
When the technology misbehaves
Most glitches yield to boring fixes, in this order: reload the page; confirm your connection is stable; check that no other app is holding the camera; update the browser; try a private window with extensions off. A VPN can slow video or confuse country detection, so try without one. On a phone, toggling between Wi-Fi and mobile data frequently unsticks a frozen call. If the site appears down for everyone, give it a few minutes — maintenance windows are short.
Your account and the data on it
Guests can match and talk without any account at all. A Google sign-in keeps your coin balance and call history together, following you from device to device. If you want your account and the data stored with it erased, ask through the Contact Us page and we will take care of it. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what is stored — and the honest answer is less than you would expect.
Still stuck?
If none of the above solved it, write to [email protected]. Include what you attempted, what showed on screen, which device and browser you were on, and approximately when it happened. Screenshots help with anything visual. A human reads every message — usually within one to three business days, and faster for anything safety-related.
